What critics are saying about Change Coming
"Smooth and sophisticated...His sweet tenor vocals and smooth jazzy style bring to mind Steely Dan and Boz Scaggs, but if his sound hearkens back to earlier times, his message is entirely forward-looking." -John Voorhees, Owdolatrous Press
"Mark takes you on a little journey on which you’ll discover a type of music you didn’t yet know you had a love for." -Siobhan Chapman, Indiemunity
"...Shows a surprising ability at crafting accessible and complete musical arrangements that seem ready for adult contemporary radio." -Wildy Haskell, Wildy's World
"If Etheredge’s songwriting skills are not enough for you, Change Coming was tracked and mixed by engineer Forrest Lawrence (Joan Baez, Chris Martin). Joining him in the studio were some Bay Area masters including Tower of Power saxman Tom Politzer, Weather Girl Charlene Moore, and Two Tons of Fun’s Jeanie Tracy. To top all that, the record was mastered by none other than Grammy Award winning engineer Rainer Gembalczyk. Definitely a winning combo!" -Joshua Smotherman, Middle Tennesee Music

New Single Released. The song is I Would, sung in Japanese. It's based on the English version (on the album Change Coming), a heartfelt reflection on feelings of regret about a breakup.
Seiji Iwata translated the lyrics and coached me through recording this new vocal, and we think you might just like it. In fact, I'm digging it now even more than the English version! I Would (Japanese) is available for download now on iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby.
